Welcome to my photography blog.
Art in the Park is a pop up exhibition housed within the Victorian Glasshouses, in Queens Park, Glasgow. Now in its second year, the show ran over the weekend of the 22/23 May 2010. The exhibition forms part of the the Southside Festival, which attracts thousands of people into the park. Queen’s Park Camera Club took part in this event with a display of 40 images taken around the Queen’s Park area.
With a remit to focus on “arty” close up images I submitted the six images below, which were displayed.
I tried to capture the concept of security, both physical and spiritual with locks, doors and chains and religious security and an image of the bright orange light penetrating the blackness.
Overall I am happy with the set of images but they are a departure from my usual intrests of landscape and portraits!
