Welcome to http://www.alantaylorphotography.com my photography blog and journal.
My life long love of illustration and technology drew me towards computer graphics and in 2000 I started the “Art of Alan Taylor” website of digital illustrations and 3D computer models. In 2001 The site was voted one of the worlds top 100 graphic websites – although I’m not sure that I ever understood who by!
To add realism to my artworks I added a Fuji S304 digital camera to my arsenal of art tools. The photography bug bit and I never looked back.
16 years on I am a president of Queen’s Park Camera Club (Glasgow’s longest running camera club) and past winner of Glasgow District Photographic Union’s Print of the Year and a widely published stock photographer.
I try to bring my love of art, design and illustration to my photographic projects and love to work on location and in the studio.
On this site I will tell the stories behind the images, explain what I was trying to capture and why. Perhaps if it is of interest I will explain some of the post processing work done on an image to get it to it’s final published version.
