Full Frame Photography

I upgraded from the 10MP Nikon D80, with it’s APS-C sized sensor to NIkon’s newly launched 24.3MP, full frame, D600.

I’ve had the camera for one week and so far I can’t find anything to dislike about it.  Although I am only scratching the surface of the D600s abilities, I can already see how far the technology has developed since I got my D80 in 2006.

To experiement with the camera’s exposure and metering modes I have taken the two test shots below; a black domino against a black background and a white flower against a white background.  The black images was shot at ISO 100 and the white image at ISO 1600.

Both images were manually focused using the “Live View” feature.

Hope to have some landscape and studio shots to share soon.
